When a cat develops Hypothyroidism they will usually have a lot of systems that follow up. The reason why is because the thyroid is then considered a deficiency and when the metabolic system is not working right the systems can create a lot of symptoms that can lead into serious infections if treatment is not provided.
Symptoms Of Hypothyroidism With Cats Include But Not Limited To:
- lacking interest at play time
- lethargy
- sleeping a lot more
- cold intolerance
- low body temperatures
- constipation

The symptoms of hypothyroidism with cats will vary. Tests are done in accordance to the symptoms and treatment will be provided to help decrease the symptoms that the cat might be having. It is important that the cat gets treated right away because in time the cat might develop more symptoms which could cause other things to happen. Just because a cat starts off with one or two symptoms does not mean that the cat won't get 5 or more later on if they are not treated. The symptoms will be observed and watched very closely after the cat starts treatment.
