Just like other animals and human beings there are different types of arthritis and they are:

Normally, cats that are old have arthritic problem. But many young cats also fall prey to this disease. Thus signs and symptoms must be looked into seriously and steps must be taken towards treating the disorder. However, the best thing would be to prevent the cat from this problem. Proper diet, exercises and vitamin supplements can help in prevention of arthritis in cats. It is better to consult the vet before trying any remedy or treatment. You can even ask the vet that whether you can try out any remedies at home.
