Timing of the occurrence of the side effects
More often than not, if there is a side effect to appear, it should appear within the first 2-3 weeks of administering of the drug. This side effect can persist for as many as 45-50 days.

- Sensation of constant lethargy
- Feverish sensation
- Inactiveness
- In extreme cases, death
- Aggressiveness and becoming very irritated
- A sudden change in behavior

The vaccine is designed such that it attacks the nervous system of the body. This causes tiredness and muscle weakness. There are also cases of spinal cord observed. Some of the other symptoms on administering the rabies vaccine are different types of allergies and skin related problems. It may also lead to diseases related to immune system. The victims tend to start eating almost anything. Fibrocarcinomas is a type of cancer that is developed at the point of injection. In some cases, even this is developed after the rabies vaccine is given.
