Can Dogs Have Diarrhea?
Just like human beings, dogs can also develop diarrhea at some or other point of their life. Diarrhea can be defined as a watery stool which is much different than the normal stool in terms of softness. If you feel that your dog is suffering from diarrhea, then cut down the quantity of food you are feeding to it to half and feed only food cooked at home.
Most of the time diarrhea will last for couple of days, but if it continues for long time, then it must be seriously considered. Viruses and parasites are the major cause for diarrhea in the dog. If the dog eats some food which upsets their stomach balance, then it can result in diarrhea.
Diarrhea can also be caused if the dogs get excited or stressed when coming back to home or going away from the home. It is caused whenever the body of the dog senses a new thing in the stomach which should not be present in the body, and then the body tries to get rid of it immediately in the form of diarrhea or vomiting.
