Cats sometimes regurgitate their foodstuff after finishing their meal as a response to a blockage of their esophagus caused by fur or food particle. This habit of regurgitation of foodstuff is different from vomiting.

Hairballs are one of the common symptoms of feline digestive problems. There are different types of digestive disorders found in cats. Firstly digestive disorder caused due to the secretion of insufficient quantity of digestive enzymes by pancreas. This causes loss in weight and spoils the cat’s craving for food. The second kind of feline digestive syndrome is produced due to the presence of unhealthy amounts of parasites or worms in the cat’s stomach which causes weight loss, bloody stool or signs of fatigue. Lastly in certain cases cats might swallow something which can get stuck in their intestines and may cause them to vomit frequently.
