How can you Detect a Dog Stroke?

Although dog stroke is not a common problem affecting all canines but there are cases wherein dogs get strokes all of a sudden as the symptoms were not detected in advance. There can be several types of strokes affecting your dog with varying symptoms. It is good for a dog owner to find out in advance what could be the possible symptoms so that medical care can be provided when required.

The commonest symptom is that the dog will start losing balance and it will not be able to stand on the four legs. Though it might look funny when they walk in an unstable manner but this is an alarming situation for the owner when he should take it to the doctor. If you suddenly find the dog tilting its head in a particular manner in order to respond to your call, there are chances that the body of the dog has become half paralyzed.

Sometimes the dogs release their bowel involuntarily which is another symptom of dog stroke that should be treated at the earliest. There can be sudden behavioral changes like the dog is unable to move freely inside and outdoors. Watching out for these problems can help in detecting the dog strokes.
