Dog dandruff is a condition in which the skin cells of the dog die and flake off at a rapid rate. So to maintain good healthy skin of the dog, it is necessary to cure dog dandruff. Dandruff is a disease related to the skin and so it becomes extremely important to take your dog for bath on regular basis. This will prevent accumulation of flakes on the skin of the dog.

Doctors prescribe that in winter season dog must be given bath once in a month and during summer season this count becomes twice.  While giving bath to the dog, make use of mild shampoo such as baby shampoo and massage it gently on the body of the dog. If dandruff is not cured by baby shampoo, then try pet shampoo which contains sulfur and salicylic acid. After massaging the pet shampoo on the body of the dog, allow it to remain it for 5 minutes so that active ingredients in it can work properly.

For relieving flaking, you can make use of oatmeal soap which performs the function of moisturizing the skin. You can also buy oil rinse and spray it on the body of dog. It lubricates the skin of the dog by locking the moisture.
